Gosh, I haven't written in ages... or submitted anything. I really have to get back to it.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm probably gonna be off to Japan in November ^^

I have not seen the movie yet but very much looking forward to it.

But I have read a few articles and noticed comments along the lines of, 'why not make movies about how bad it was for all families in that time, child labor, slavery in Africa, other minorities who were treated unfairly...'

Seriously?

Are you going to walk up to a fireman in the middle of a mission and ask, “What about the houses being burglarized?”

There is no comparison between how black people were sold and bought as though they were no more than mere objects and any other issue you could bring up. If you want to see a different movie about some different issue, then GO SEE IT!

Or why don't you just go on about other movies? Eg; Why isn't Avatar about global warming (or insert desired issue)?

Or go up to an organization out to end world hunger and ask "what about sex trafficking or the exploitation of children or slavery"?

(As a sort of side note, there are more slaves today than there ever were at any other point in human history.)

If you want to depict a different aspect of history, then go ahead and do it, but don't attack a film that is totally unrelated.

12 Years A Slave is a film based on Solomon Northup's life! It isn't just about slavery. So if you are one of those insensitive imbeciles, please stop it with your comments.

Hi (random person who might read this),

If you watch me you probably know that I haven't been uploading anything for quite a while.

I have no idea when I'll be able to, but I'm hoping no longer than another few weeks.

This entry also serves as a notice to anyone who has requested any artworks from me in the past; I will NOT be able to take any more requests for the foreseeable future. I'm sure all artists agree that drawing/painting (whatever else) often requires a considerable amount of time and this year, I cannot afford to work on anything with no profit as well as my own projects, so the only form of requests I will accept are commissions (and those are also limited). Thanks you for understanding and sorry for any inconvenience.

On a high note, I have dropped a subject this year and will be completing most of my school work in the study zones I have as a result. This means I'll have more time to work on projects at home and study more for exams.

I'm really no good at drawing, at all... at least not for the stuff I want to do, and I can't even scan right now. I'm hoping I'll be able to post some stuff soon.

Trying my hand at some writing as well (all sorts of stuff - poems, stories, fanfiction), but I doubt I'll post anything unless I truly love it... maybe a few stories, we'll see.
